Founder and Managing Attorney

Marcus Leinart

Marcus Leinart is the founder and managing attorney of Leinart Law Firm. He is an experienced Texas bankruptcy attorney, dedicated to helping individuals and families regain financial stability. Since opening his firm in 2005, Marcus has focused his practice on bankruptcy and debt relief solutions, representing people who are overwhelmed by debt or facing serious financial hardship.

With more than 20 years of experience in bankruptcy law, Marcus has filed thousands of bankruptcy cases and helped countless clients secure meaningful financial relief. His practice is built on the belief that while unexpected life events can derail finances, the right legal guidance can help people reclaim control and move forward with confidence.

A Practice Built Around Client Advocacy

Marcus began his legal career working at both personal injury and bankruptcy law firms, where he gained firsthand insight into the challenges individuals face when dealing with aggressive creditors, unfair lending practices, and mounting debt. While those experiences were valuable, Marcus wanted to build a firm that prioritized clear communication, thoughtful strategy, and personalized client service.

He founded Leinart Law Firm to serve clients the way he believes they deserve to be served, honestly, efficiently, and with respect. Today, the firm serves clients from offices in Dallas and Fort Worth, providing guidance on Chapter 7 bankruptcy and other debt-relief solutions under Texas law.

Proven Results and Practical Guidance

Marcus understands that financial hardship can arise from many causes, including job loss, divorce, medical expenses, or unexpected emergencies. He works closely with each client to explain their options, including Texas bankruptcy exemptions, and helps them make informed decisions based on their unique situation.

Over the years, Marcus has helped clients:

  • Stop creditor harassment and collection efforts
  • Halt lawsuits and wage garnishments
  • Prevent bank account freezes
  • Retain their homes and vehicles when possible
  • Discharge overwhelming unsecured debt
  • Achieve a true financial fresh start
  • His approach is practical, thorough, and focused on long-term stability—not quick fixes.

Marcus earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Christian University and his law degree from Texas Tech School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Better Business Bureau, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

Outside the office, Marcus is a lifelong North Texas resident, a longtime community volunteer, and an Eagle Scout. He has been married to his wife, Christi, since 1997, and together they are raising three sons. While his professional focus remains on serving his clients, family and community continue to shape the values that guide his work.
